This year’s Great Bristol Run is shaping up to be an action-packed celebration of running.
For the very first time, the 10k and Half Marathon events will take place on the same day, while the Family Run event will ensure budding running stars of the future get their shot at glory.
The event, on Sunday September 19, is famous for its buzzing atmosphere, crowd support, and notorious music and entertainment zones. To keep runners safe there will be covid secure measures in place, but the thrill of running through Bristol’s streets and the unbeatable feeling of crossing the finish in Millennium Square, will be even more special this year.
Renowned for being fast, flat and a great opportunity to achieve a PB, this year is no different with a new route taking runners of a tour of the city centre. The event showcases some of Bristol’s best bits, passing iconic landmarks including the stunning Queens Square, Prince Street Bridge, Harbourside and the historic Castle Park. The greatest reward in taking part is the sense of achievement as you cross the finish line, but a shiny new medal, a snazzy finishers t-shirt and a finisher’s bag filled with goodies will await you at the end of the run.

Business Challenge
The Engie Business Challenge at the Great Bristol Run encourages local businesses to compete against each other to be crowned champions. There are different categories for Small, Medium and Large sized businesses, as well as male, female and mixed teams, ensuring it’s a level playing field for each business.

VI Runners Challenge
In partnership with VI Runners Bristol, this year’s event will stage the first VI Runners Challenge. The ambition is to promote and drive up participation in running for people registered as severely sight impaired (previously “blind.”)
