To the east, Stratford, Greenwich, Plaistow and Barking and Dagenham will have to shore up their flood defences as the Thames threatens to swell.
Western parts of the UK, although more prone to rain, are on average much more elevated.
As such, relatively few areas will have to worry about dipping below the flood level.
The map groups affected areas on the Bristol Channel, such as Bristol itself, Weston-Super-Mare, and Newport and Cardiff in Wales.
The northwest coast will see increased flooding in Blackpool, Southport, and parts of Liverpool.
Scotland and Northern Ireland are the least affected of the home nations, with rising waters not likely to make it far inland.
