If you’re a lover of British mystery dramas you’re probably already getting stuck into ITV’s new detective show, Professor T.
Based on a Belgian series of the same name, the show follows the eccentric but sharp Cambridge criminology professor, Jasper Tempest, as he gets wrapped up in a police investigation of an attack that took place on campus.
Ben Miller plays the pedantic professor who is unwilling at first but DI Lisa Donkers (played by Emma Naomi) soon convinces him that he’s just the man for the case.

Miller said it didn’t take him long to warm to the role and that he was “Born to play this part.” He said: “I saw the original Belgian series and loved so much about it, and I love how Jasper is this very unusual criminal psychologist. The stories and puzzles are really intriguing, but what I love most of all is that every character has a proper backstory. Jasper’s is revealed little by little.”
In addition to loving his character he feels that audiences will be in for a treat with the show: “Professor T has it all, intriguing murders, dreaming spires and a cast of unforgettable characters, each with their own fascinating secrets.” he said.
What TV shows has Ben Miller been in before?
