Club implemented a ‘negative lateral flow test or double vaccination pass entrance policy’
Festival outfits were back on show near Bristol this weekend.
Thousands of people flocked to a farm near the city to attend one of the first large music festivals to be staged in the UK since coronavirus rules were lifted.
Lakota has implemented a “negative lateral flow test or double vaccination pass entrance policy”, saying “although the government have indicated that covid passes are not a requirement, the health authorities and council have very strongly advised us to run such a policy.”

Lakota’s website says: “To ensure that everyone can feel comfortable and as safe as possible we will need to see a covid pass from the NHS app or a text from a registered negative lateral flow test taken within the last 24 hours.”
Organised by legendary Bristol nightclub Lakota, Summer of Love was a two day event taking place this weekend at Washingpool Farm, near Easter Compton. People were bussed from the club to the farm.
On Saturday (July 24), revellers enjoyed performances from two local superstars with global reputations: Eats Everything and Sam Divine.
Eats Everything cut his teeth as both a raver and DJ at Lakota, while Sam Divine from Weston-Super-Mare has been integral in growing the house scene across the South West and UK, known for her association with the Defected record label.
Topping the bill on Sunday (July 25) were Wilkinson, Sherelle and Watch The Ride.
Mass gatherings are now allowed to take place after coronavirus restrictions were lifted across the country on Monday (July 19).
